LAHORE PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz marched as Punjab's prime minister on Saturday in the infamous Punjab Assembly.

Before the vote, three PTI members of the Punjab Parliament were arrested for assaulting Deputy Speaker Dost Mohammad Mazari as the party held a session to elect a new minister.

Hamza Shehbaz was named the new minister in 197 votes. Although his rival Pervaiz Elahi refused to vote as his party and PTI changed.

Hamza is the third member of his family to be named prime minister of Punjab. Earlier, her father Shehbaz Sharif, now Prime Minister, and uncle former prime minister Nawaz Sharif also held the position.

After a long stay and delays due to loud noise, the meeting finally began, with Deputy Speaker Mazari presiding over the meeting.

The session is scheduled to start at 1130am. However, it was delayed as government lawmakers - PTI and PML-Q - turned to violence.

Following the announcement by Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari, the meeting was adjourned to Iftar.

The palm of my hand is republic Hamza

During the session, the deputy speaker called for Hamza to address the house, which he called "republican" after the country had been in turmoil for the past two weeks.

pesenting the two-week events once, the CM-elect said that when the meeting was called to elect a new House leader people were "attacked".

The PML-N leader also took part in Advocate General Punjab's assurance to the Supreme Court that the new CM election session would be held on April 6 but on the day the meeting doors were closed and the Deputy Speaker's powers were restored.

"History does not forgive anyone," said Hamza. He added that during the third meeting, Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari attacked him.

“As we sat in the reception area we found out that it was intended. I believe this is not an attack on you but an honor of this meeting. Time flies but the actors are members, ”said Hamza.

The PML-N leader wondered what he had done to Pervaiz Elahi, as a housekeeper, breaking a vow he had taken.

Sir, we are talking about the courage you have shown in your part. I salute you for your humor," Hamza told Mazari, who presided over the session.

The CM-elect said the Deputy Speaker was "wandering in every direction" and "for the third time made a joke about the Constitution and the law".

“The nation was tortured for 15 days and a minute even though the whole Republic has won. This is not the palm of my hand, it is the palm of every member sitting at that moment, ”said Hamza as he thanked all the organizations that supported him, including MPAs, respected PTI leaders Aleem Khan and Jahangir Tareen.

Responding to his statement to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Hamza said four times in the past the opposition party had committed itself as MPAs to maintain a "republic bus".

Hamza said he also told former prime minister Imran Khan that the nation should not forget the "clothing damage" if his party made a "10" in what the PML-N did.

The CM-elective said the opposition party supported the government and "was present at the meeting all these times despite obstacles".

"I want to ask Imran Khan why he promised ten million jobs, five million houses while hundreds of thousands of young people are unemployed at the moment," he said.

Recalling that the contact level was 3-4 when the PML-N was removed from power, he stressed that during PTI the contact level rises to 12.

"I'm not saying this The Economist has marked Pakistan as the third most valuable country in the world," he said.

Hamza cites sugar and wheat scams to reinforce the failure of the PTI-led government.

"Love grows because of bad rule," he asserted.

About the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Hamza took a swipe at the former PTI government remembering that Imran Khan had been with him before - while in the Opposition - said he would rather talk about suicide than seek help from international lenders.

Hamza insists that the previous government created a negative situation for six months, which undermined investors' confidence, lowered Pakistan's currency compared to the US bone, and surrendered to the IMF.

"Countries take out loans but time is of the essence," he said, adding that the PTI government is trying and playing with the country.

Regarding the chaos and violence that took place before the meeting, the newly appointed prime minister of Punjab said PTI lawmakers represented violence and looked after other members of Parliament, especially women legislators.

"Is this the way Pakistan will improve?" he said, noting that the world is a global problem and Pakistan has trade relations with the European Union but former prime minister Imran Khan criticized the EU; not only that "his pride crept into Pakistan's foreign policy."
