RAWALPINDI :Tehreek-i-Insaf workers and supporters in Pakistan tried to reach Islamabad when, in response to President Imran Khan's call for a long march to the federal capital, they pushed containers and released tear gas.

PTI chairman Imran Khan denied rumors of a government agreement and said "never" from such a perspective. He added that the party leadership is not moving to the federal capital.

"We will stay in Islamabad until the end date of the meetings and elections is announced." He added that he had invited residents of partner cities to take part in the PTI march.

Imran had previously arrived at the Wali Stock Exchange in Khyber Pashunkhwa and later left for Islamabad. Other party leaders left their territories in the federal capital.

In an interview with accused Swabian supporters, he told his supporters that they would go to D-Chowk in Islamabad and "nothing can stop us."

Lahore police and PTI clashes clashed early in the morning when the latter managed to make their way through containers scattered by the Batti Chowk government to prevent protesters from arriving in Islamabad.

Police used tear gas after PTI supporters tried to remove containers located on the roads from Lahore. PTI leaders Yasmin Rashid, Hammad Azhar and Shafqat Mehmood led the workers. As a result, the party's supporters beat the police.
