Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former US President Donald Trump, has said she does not believe her father's claims that she was defeated in the 2020 presidential election by rigging.

Ivanka Trump made the remarks during a January 6, 2021, hearing of a congressional committee investigating the Capitol Hill attack.

In a video statement to the congressional committee, Ivanka Trump said she acknowledged then-Attorney General Bill Barr's statement that the election was transparent and fair.

"I respect Attorney General Bill Barr and acknowledge what he said," he said.

Ivanka Trump said she had repeatedly told her father that she had lost the election.

Ivanka Trump, a former White House adviser under Donald Trump, said Bill Barr's words changed her mind about the election.
