Kavan Smith 6 Things to Know About the Hallmark Channel’s for almost 10 years |
A recognizable face! Kavan Smith has been capturing everyone's attention on the Hallmark Channel for almost 10 years — fans actually can't get enough of him.
The 52-year-old entertainer got his Crown Media Family Network start in 2015's Hello, It's Me. That very year, he settled on his When Decisions the Heart debut as Leland "Lee" Coulter, who he has played all through the show's nine-season run. (The series was gotten in June for season 10.)
In 2017, Smith collaborated with his When Calls the Heart old flame, Pascale Hutton — who plays Rosemary Coulter on the series — for the first of the organization's Perfect Bride films. The pair rejoined for the continuation, The Perfect Bride: Wedding Bells, after two years and cooperated on 2021's You Had Me at Aloha.
Smith will flaunt an alternate side of his acting abilities in Hallmark's Big Sky River, which debuts on Sunday, August 7, on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. In the film, the 4400 alum plays the nearby town sheriff, Boone Taylor, who succumbs to divorced person Tara (Emmanuelle Vaugier) following her re-visitation of Parable, Montana.
"It's truly about kind of broken connections. This person Boone Taylor is a man who's lost his significant other and is attempting to raise two young men all alone," Smith made sense of during a Thursday, August 4, Facebook Live meeting. "As far as I might be concerned, it was less about the 'kid meets young lady' and more about 'broken family meets other broken family and we attempt to make it all together.' And that truly addressed me with this one."
The film, which depended on the book by Linda Lael Miller, is not quite the same as a significant number of the romantic comedies that the Wedding Bells entertainer has accomplished for the organization.
"Consistently improved," Smith reviewed of his and Vaugier's experience on set. "What's more, we had such an incredible content in light of such a decent book. It was somewhat not normal for a ton of the other Hallmark motion pictures. We kind of stand apart a smidgen."
Last month, the Irresistible Blueberry Farm entertainer shared an in the background take a gander at the film, posting a photograph of his 46-year-old costar snickering during a take.
"Such a lot of tomfoolery making this little film with @emmanuellevaugier can hardly trust that peeps will see it," Smith composed by means of Instagram on July 1. "#BigSkyRiver No giggles were had in the making of this film … "
The Godiva's alum prodded his onscreen development soon thereafter, making fun of his change into a rancher for the job. "When I told my children I was playing a cowpoke they responded to, 'You? A cattle rustler?'" he reviewed in a July 6 Instagram post, flaunting his rancher duds. "Kids what are you going to do? Tune in notwithstanding my children."
Large Sky River debuts on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Sunday, August 7, at 9 p.m. ET.
